The acrylic nail application process involves mixing the liquid monomer with the powder polymer to form a dough-like substance, which is then applied to the natural nail or nail tip. As the mixture dries, it hardens into a durable and long-lasting nail extension. This chemical reaction is not dependent on UV light and will occur regardless of light exposure.
However, it’s worth noting that UV or LED light may be used in acrylic nail salons for other purposes, such as drying nail polish or gel nail enhancements. Still, this light is not essential for the acrylic nails themselves and is not part of the curing process for acrylic extensions.
